Christmas in Beaver Creek: getting there!

We left on Saturday December the 21st bright and early in the morning! We flew straight to Denver. Its no secret that Murphy's buddy is Joe Joe. He's always right there beside him! Poor little Murphy had a fever virus the day before. We even thought we might have to carry him through the airports. Luckily this little guy got lots of rest the day before and was feeling pretty good on our traveling day!

Its always really sweet and special to see Brooks' first name. It seriously makes us tear up to see Dondis' name! I'm so so happy we chose this name for Brooks!

This was Brooks very first time to fly! He did a great job!
Sweet little fella slept and ate the entire way! He loved looking out of the window. Shane and I were thrilled he did well because we were a little occupied with Madelyn!
Madelyn gets motion sickness. At the beginning of the flight the pilot said that we would have about 10 mins of flight turbulence...a few mins later he came back on and said that he was sorry but it would be the entire 2 1/2 flight!! Madelyn fell asleep and woke up throwing up immediately! She doesn't do well in cars either but has never actually thrown up! She was so embarrassed! I felt terrible for her! We cleaned her up as best as we could and all was better.
In Denver we got onto a shuttle bus for the ride to Beaver Creek. The kidos did pretty well .
Murphy went right to sleep.

The big girls chatted in the back the entire time! We over listened to some of it. They were in awe of the mountains!
Madelyn- "That looks like Mt Everest!"
Addy Grace-"NO!, THATS Mt Everest!"
Madelyn-"no Addy Grace, Mt Everest is in D.C. Washington!"
Jenny and I couldn't help but to giggle!
Brooks played and chatted with mommy a lot!

Then sweet cheeks dosed off....LOOK at our sweet boy suck his thumb!
So did his daddy!

The house we stayed at was amazing! So beautiful...and hurge!
It had the cutest creek that ran right beside it so when approaching it you
had to drive over a beautiful bridge!
We had to take a first CO family of five photo! ~LOVE~

we then had to go get fitted for our skis and ski boots so up to the village we rode!

Brooksie Bear cub snuggled with Nino to keep warm!
We were thrilled Beebs and Payton got to come! I
ts so hard to believe they've been married for 6 months already!!
Poor Murphy!
The Shoemakers
While in the village we saw the Snow Princess, Snow Flake and I cant seem to recall the other ones name! HA! They are there every year! They make it so fun for the kidos with planned activities!
The snow really picked up while in the village!
"Excuse me, do I have a snow flake on my eyelash?!"

The carolers were so wonderful!!

That night we ate Blue Moose Pizza  and welcomed Matts family into the house.
