Little Lady turns 5!

FIVE!! When I say that word....that number, it just doesn't seem real! It truly feels like we just brought our precious first born baby girl home! Where has time gone?! Miss Madelyn is such a big girl now!
We are so grateful for this precious life that has been entrusted to us by God. We all love Madelyn Kay.  She is caring, sharing, funny, full of laughter, helpful, cuddly, all girl, sweet, smart, athletic, and wants to be just like her mama!

~She is very independent! She loves to do things for herself like dress herself, put her bows in her hair,  buckle herself in the car seat, brush her teeth, ect.  

~She loves to cuddle in my bed with me and watch cartoons and read books;-) 

~She is a REALLY good big sister! She helps Murphy when he needs something. She plays with him and even gives him tips on doing things like brushing his teeth! She loves to sit and "read" books to him! (I love to listen in and hear what the book is all about!)

~ She is a good mix of tom-boy and girly-girl! She still loves to dress up but she also loves dinosaurs!

~ In the car she sings at the top of her lungs!

~She ask a million questions in one day!

~She is very bright i must say, her thoughts and ideas amaze me everyday! We get asked how to spell words at least 100 times a day!!

~She likes to help mama out with chores! She helps unload the dishwasher, wash clothes, fold clothes and put them up! The ONLY thing she WILL NOT do is vacuum!

 (anyone that is around her knows she's very sensitive to loud sounds!)

~She is very much a daddy's girl! She loves him and is right by his side when he's home!

~She loves school, her teachers and her friends! She ask to go everyday! I'm very happy she'll be going 5 days a week next year! I know she will LOVE it!

~She has a very generous heart! She knows and understands that there are family's and children out there that have less than she. Madelyn says things like: "Mommy, I don't need this toy anymore, let's give it to a kid that needs it:-)" ......Then I realize we're doing something right:-)

~She is pretty sensitive and can have her feeling hurt...
~ Loves to nurture stuffed animals!
~She has the most BEAUTIFUL smile! She is very natural and very photogenic!...
Good thing her daddy is a photographer! !

Camp Out Birthday Party

 Happy Birthday to a very special big girl! Our Precious daughter turned 5!

 

For her birthday party Madelyn had a camp out with a few girls! We had the parents and family come and eat hamburgers and stay for HOMEMADE ice cream and cupcakes! We had SO MUCH FUN!

We called these girls the three amigos. They are all 3 and are all just a few months apart in age! 

They love each other! 

This is the picture i grab the next morning...Shane, Maddie and Audrey still asleep at 8:45!!! The girls inside woke up at 6:15!!! yep....  I got a nap that day!

On Memorial Day we headed down to MS on the Trace. We stopped at Jacks branch for lunch. The kidos loved walking in the stream!

On Tuesday Murphy came down with a fever... took him to Trace Medical where he tested + with strep throat. ...not only Murphy but Sam and Chap too!!!

They gave him a shot of antibiotics and Tylenol suppositories. Worked REALLY well!

 While down in MS Madelyn had swim lessons with Mrs. Chris Potts!
