all done

We've been working on signing with Murphy. He knows "more" and "all done". Two nights ago we were eating diner. Murphy cleaned his tray so I signed and asked him "Are you all done?" He looked up at me and signed all done and said in the sweet little voice "Aaa da"! It was SO CUTE! Madelyn started hollering "He said ALL DONE!"

Murphy learned how to walk in a matter of 4 days! He is everywhere now...

He is defiantly the busiest kid I've ever been around but we are enjoying EVERY moment with this "CUDDLE BUG CUTIE!"

~Beatification~

I feel like my house has been neglected the past year.
I've been in an ugly postpartum funk and feel like I'm finally coming around (Hooray!)...
Nothing makes me happy quite like photo's of my children! Our hallway got a nice face lift! Whatcha Think?

It helps that I have a fabulous photographer!

How can this be happening so quickly?! Murphy is a walking BOY! I guess my children just like to get-up and go! Madelyn also started walking early...I'm thinking about tying his little fat feet to cinder blocks! HA...not really, but I must admit that the thought has crossed my mind!

One of his favorite things to do right now is run away from me during diaper changes! He stands up completely naked and laughs about it! All the while grabbing and tugging at his boy parts! I've been changing him on the floor because this kid is SO fast that I'm scared he'll roll/fall off of the changing table!

Madelyn & Murphy's new Cousin!

On Friday June, 17 We welcomed sweet Milly Claire Shoemaker to the family!
She weighed 7 lbs 6 oz and 20 inches long and is perfect as can be!
Jenny did an A-MAZ-ING job!
Mom and baby are doing well!
A BIG Congrats to Jenny, Matt and BIG sister Addy Grace!
We are SO Happy for you guys!

11 Months Old!

-very, veRY, VERY BUSY!
-HUGE NEWS! Is taking 6-9 steps at a time then plops down and hops right back up and does it again... yep, we have ourselves a walking BOY!
-climbing on the couch and our leather chair.
-has 4 teeth
-nursing 4-5 times a day
-loves his pacie and blue silky blanket
-loves toys with wheels
-eats A LOT! and eats pretty much anything!
-goes down at 8:00 and gets up around 7:30-8:00 (love it!)
-loves Sesame Street & Elmo...He also likes Thomas The Train
-LOVES his Joe Joe! (It's the funniest thing to watch Murphy get excited!)
-likes riding in the stroller and wagon!
-thinks its funny when he burps and tries to make himself do it again! (Such a Boy!)
-LOVES watching Madelyn like she is THE BEST entertainment EVER!
-loves to go outside!
-Laughs and cackles at Elise (our dog) and Miles (our cat)
-loves the book Flap Doodle Dinosaurs
-likes to look at my "animal sounds"phone app.
-started swatting at me while I try to dress/undress/diaper changing!

-loves to take baths!
-tells us what the dog says!
-is still a cuddle bug cutie!

by the way...I am NOT going to give him a hair cut until AFTER he turns one!

{Madelyn's Doctor visit}

I'm So proud of Maddie! She was happy as can be about going to see Dr. GodFrey...That's pretty easy to do when there aren't any shots involved! She told him all about her upcoming birthday party!
Her growth Stats were: 33 1/4 lbs.(45%) 38 3/8 inches (25%) BMI 15.9 (66%)

Madelyn has been complaining of her hips hurting her since about September. I called our pediatrician He said to start charting it. I also contacted her teacher to let me know on her daily note if Maddie complained of her hips bothering her. I let Dr. Godfrey know. He wanted to go ahead and get her X-Rayed over at Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. So after her 4 year well visit we went over to Vandy. Right outside of the Radiology Department there was a visitor for the children. It was a BIG Beautiful Clydesdale named BIG TOM!

Madelyn ate this up! She is still talking about how BIG his feet were!

We read books while we waited and even made friends;)
Madelyn was SO BRAVE. She hopped onto the table and never said a word;)
They got two different shots of her hips.
We got the results before we left.
There were NO abnormalities seen in her hips to cause her pain.

~A Day FILLED of FUN!~

Madelyn's birthday present from mommy and daddy was a trampoline!
She was thrilled and ran right out to it! She kept saying
"Thank You, This is what I ALWAYS wanted!" Shane and I were cracking up!

We jumped for two hours! (I forgot what a great workout it can be!)

Even Little Man enjoyed a few bounces!

After breakfast we headed over to Nino and Joe Joe's house for a swim with our friends!

Katy, Brian and their girls met us over there!

Madelyn;s Special Day!

When asked "What does it mean to be four?" She replied with:
"I won't wear a diaper at night ANYMORE!"
and sure enough, she has not worn one every since and I'm happy to report that there has not been any accidents!
