What We've Been Up To!

Shane and I are on a mission to lose a few so we've been walking/ jogging everyday! We even have our own "tiny" parade. (This is Elsie..our pup)

Madelyn has been "talking" up a storm! humm. where did she get that from??...??
We can ask her "what does the doggie say?" she replies"woof, woof"
and another word she says is "Mel-Mo" for Elmo! She loves him and laughs and giggles at him! We might just have a "Mel-Mo" birthday party!

Here is a video of Maddie telling us what a doggie says.

Visiting family in Mississippi

Shane and I went down to our hometown in MS this past weekend. We always have so much fun playing with the kiddos! Shane got up Sat. morning to go fishing with Chivas and my dad. Dad and Shane were not so lucky while Chivas caught 5 or 6 fish...O-well. On Sunday we took LOTS of pictures! Around 750 to be exact. We've been telling my sisters that we would take photos of their children and we needed a big family picture. Lauren wanted some pictures of baby Chap as well as some family pics now that he's here. It was a lot of work but I think it turned out really well. Here are some photos.

We also got to go visit with Shane's grandparents, Mema and Dondi. They are always so happy to see Madelyn and hear what she's up to. We told them that we were going to leave Maddie with them for the day, next time we go down, so Shane and I can get some rest.

***10 months old***

Madelyn is 300 days old (42 weeks)! She is really starting to explore...This includes people, places and things. Maddie really likes eating different foods. We tried grilled cheese tonight and of course it was a hit! She now has a dislike for confinement (her car seat)...which can make going anywhere a little difficult. She loves hearing the different sounds that animals make. She took 2 solid steps today too!...hehe (for food)

An evening at the Baseball Park!

Lipscomb had alumni night Tuesday. It was for free tickets to the game and a free Chick-fil-A meal, and of course free entertainment! We really had fun! Madelyn clapped every time the rest of the crowd did. Beside it being pretty chilly, we had a good time getting out with Maddie! Lipscomb played MTSU. Here are a few pictures.

Madelyn's Silly Video!

She makes a snorting face and sound!

Easter Sunday!

She was more interested in the plastic eggs!

While eating, an instrument quartet played for us. Madelyn was dancing to the music. Everyone thought this was funny!

Madelyn thought it was not enough to get food all over the floor and table... She rubbed it in her hair!

The Easter Bunny visited Madelyn! She has taken a few steps but not ready to go Easter egg hunting yet...Maybe next year! After church we went and ate lunch at the University club on Vanderbilt's' campus. Madelyn ate cache, scrambled eggs and an breakfast pastry of some sort.. She's a good eater! Shane was called the human garbage disposal by his mema (grandmother), well it looks like Madelyn is following right behind!
