Boxes and Baseball-O What Fun!

As many toys as she has, she still wants to play with a diaper box...goofy kid!
It was getting close to nap time so while she was in the box I gave her a bottle and her blanket. She thought this was SO great!

Madelyn and I went to Granny White Park to watch Matt play a game of baseball. Jenny and I sat in the grass and chatted.

She was flirting with the guys in the dug out!!

Sassy Girl!! the bad thing is...She KNOWS she's cute!After the game Matt played with Maddie. They were picking clovers. As soon as Madelyn got one in her hand she would try to eat it!!

*1 Year check up 6/16/08*

Update on our busy little one year old... Today Shane and I took Madelyn to her 1 year Doctor visit. She is healthy and is doing very well on all of her skills. She can now have peanut butter which Shane is happy about. This means pb&j sandwiches! We do however need to start taking away the bottle..this might be hard considering she says the word baba for bottle and will sometimes "ask" for one..at least we still have paci and blanket!
He is making an appointment for an audiologist at Vanderbilt. The day after a baby is born their hearing is tested and at the same time they ask the parents if there is any hearing lose in the family. Maddie passed with flying colors but I lost 87% of my hearing in my right ear in 7th grade. After seeing 3 ENT's the doctor had no clue why I lost it. So to make sure, Madelyn will get tested every year or so.
Her stats were pretty good. 20lbs (30%) in weight, 28 3/4 inches (50%) in height,
and 18'' (75%) in her head circumference. ok..everybody giggle...

She was running around in the "well-side" of the waiting room.

She was 20 pounds even..
Waiting on Dr. Godfrey to come in. Shane was showing her pictures of family members.
She was fine with him until he picked her up!! Too funny! Look at that face!

Right after her shots..not so happy, but it did not last long. Nino gave her Tylenol an hour before we went. She only had two shots this time. (MMR and PCV) We go back in Sept.
She was a happy girl all day long!

I couldn't have prayed for a better daddy for our child! You are truly the most unselfish and giving father! Thank You for your love and dedication to Madelyn. I am so proud of the father that you are! We LOVE You! -Nat and Maddie

Jenny and Matt gave her the phone. It is really neat! Fisher Price has started making the older toys again! It looks just like the one I had as a kid!



Malinda (Nino) made Maddie a dress for her birthday! It is SO beautiful! I can't wait for her to wear it!!!!!

She liked to Elmo wrapping paper!





Matt and Jenny got her a kiddy pool! We can't wait to try it out!

*Madelyn's Birthday Party*(part 1) "The Zoo"

The Ivey crew met at the Nashville Grassmere Zoo at 9:00am for Maddie b-day. We had so much fun even as HOT as it was! It was everyones first time to go except for me (Nat). Madelyn really liked looking at the animals. She still thinks that everything says "woof".







She loves getting into purses!

Since it was Madelyn's birthday, the zoo gave her a free pass to ride the carousel! She was a little scared at first but then liked it.
