"The Tilla Man!"

Every Spring my dad (Larry) calls and ask Shane if he can come help till up the garden..Shane helped him till about 5 years ago. From then on Shane has been called the "Tilla Man". Yes thats right..no "er"..just "a" tilla! We are getting the two front flower beds ready for planting so we rented the tiller from Home Depot on Saturday. The ground at our house is SO hard, it took us all day! Madelyn did a good job of getting herself a little messy too! She tried to eat the dirt! I would say "yuck", she would look at me and say "yuck" but continued to try to eat it!
She looks a little disheveled. Our little ragamuffin!

Getting Ready for...SNOW?!?!?!

YEAH! We are going to Beaver Creek, CO for Christmas! We can't wait to see Madelyn play in the snow! We bought her snow suit last March (very on sale!) from REI. I wanted to see if it is going to fit..It was too funny! Shane and I were trying to make her happy but at the same time we thought it was SO funny! We can't wait to get back..Last time we went, I was 16-17 wks pregnant! Hopefully I will have lots more energy and not so aprehensive to ski!

*15 Month Doctor Visit*

This morning Maddie went to her 15 month "well child visit". She was not the happiest kid in the building. As soon as we put her on the scale to get weighed she started crying...This continued almost the entire time...poor gal! We even brought her Elmo and Zoe puppets for entertainment..they did not work! Madelyn is doing really well and is right where she needs to be with whats she is doing. (walking backwards, talking, eating, stacking toys, climbing!) She can eat honey now! We need to get extra calories in her somehow..She had only gained 7 oz since her 1 year visit in June. Here are her stats : Weight- 20lbs. 7 oz.(18%), Height- 31 1/4 inches (75%), and Head Circumference- 19 1/2 inches (97%).... The HC has made a pretty large jump from June.. I knew something was up when the nurse measured her three times! Dr. Godfrey comes in and asks "ok...who has the big noggin in the family?"..I look over at Shane.. He said that her head size prob. comes from family but wants to make sure that it does not jump up again so he wants to see us in 6 weeks to measure it. Maddie also got three shots..Chicken Pox, DTaP, and HIB.

Christmas came a LITTLE early...

for Madelyn that is.. I've already started her Christmas shopping and have been storing it in my closet. I was folding clothes when I heard Madelyn making the car sound " budn budn". She walks out of our closet while pushing the toy. We just went ahead and took it out of its packaging to let her play with it. Is it deceiving to hide it again now that she is asleep??.I'll do a better job this time. This picture looks like a "little Shane" to me!!

Photography!! Yippee!

First time using a "Dingle Hopper!"...Fork

This was Madelyn's first time to use a fork...She did pretty well!!
And before you say anything...YES..that is Ramen Noodles she is eating. I know they are not very nutritious but she likes them!! Once in a while will not hurt..

She was slightly confused as to where the fork goes!
