O-Happy Day!

We had a house full on Monday but we sure did have a BLAST!! The Hudson girls and the Burton girls came over for a play date!! Sweet little Murphy was in girl HEAVEN! 

They waited on him hand and foot! LOVE IT!

~21 Months Old~

We are absolutely smitten with our little guy! He brings so much life and laughter to our family! It feels like since we wrapped up nursing he has grown SO much! 

~He has really started to say more words now! Some of which do not make me so happy such as "no" and "stop"..... others are AMEN, "MATMAN!" -batman, "melmo"- Elmo,  "Nano"-Nino,  "Jen Jen" -Jenny, "guppy" -Bubble guppy (a tv show), "GO!", "bug!". One of my new favorites is "me!"  We'll point to a picture and ask Murphy "Who is that?" he says "ME!" LOVE IT! 

~He has Tee teed in the little potty 18 times now! We by NO means were trying to potty train him....he is just coping his big sister!....so much so that every time he goes he grabs toilet paper and wipes! I guess this is where Shane comes in;) We'll see what happens!

~He now has 6 teeth on top and 6 on the bottom.

~Knows, points and says body parts. His favorite is too show everyone what he calls his
"beep beep"...his belly button!

~likes washing his hands in the sink like his big sister!

~Go's to sleep at 8:00 and wakes up around 8:00! I have excellent sleepers!

~He's not crazy about riding in the car... which makes it a little difficult on us all...

~He recently has a crazy obsession for superman, green lantern, and most of all....BATMAN!!!

~Loves Thomas the train!

~He loves to make people laugh!

~Loves to wrestle with Madelyn! It's so cute...they laugh the entire time!

~one of his favorite things to do to go outside and jump on the trampoline with Maddie! 

They LOVE it!!!

~They also love riding in Madelyn's battery powered car!

~Madelyn and Murphy love to build forts in the living room!....and sometime little brother likes to tear it down...which makes Madelyn a little unhappy...

~In the past two weeks our little guy has started throwing mini fits. If he doesn't want to go somewhere he will turn into a limp noodle and all of a sudden "his legs no longer work"! This is usually assisted by a "no" or "stop"!

~He loves his Scout (stuffed pup that plays music), his pacie, and silky blanket!

~LOVES to give kisses (boy does this make me melt!) LOVE IT! Everyone was right when they said little boys are cuddlers with their moms!

~He loves to eat...a lot, all the time, any ole time is a good time to eat in Murphy's world!... I guess that's why he's a chubby thing! His favorite foods are broccoli,  black beans, and "GOOKIES!" ...which means cookies!

~at 20 months we transitioned his bed into a toddler bed! He is still doing great!

~He is a little shy with people he doesn't know...he usually hides his face;)

~loves his little people super heros, reading book, and cars!

Kinda exciting and sad that our next Murphy post will be his 2 year post;)

~8 Blessed Years~

 

Today is our wedding anniversary! I truly married the love of my life! Eight wonderful years down, many more to come;)

in Jesus name we pray....

 

Madelyn says the LONGEST prayer but they are O-SO-SWEET! She Always ask God to feed everyone that is hungry and thanks him for every family member by name! Honestly I feel pretty special because I am prayed for often! Sweet little Murphy can't help himself to his plate before the prayer is over! Shane and I always giggle at him;) It's almost as if Murphy is saying 

"okay Maddie...wrap it up!"  He has started saying "AMEN!" I think he's just excited to get to the end! It melts my heart....just watch the video!

 

 

~Motherhood~

I read a great quote the other day:

“Motherhood is about raising and celebrating the child you have, not the child you thought you would have. It’s about understanding that he is exactly the person he is supposed to be. And that, if you’re lucky, he just might be the teacher who turns you into the person you are supposed to be.” –Joan Ryan

After pulling out three outfits for school and to Madelyn, non of them were quite right, I had to reread this quote. She is my greatest teacher. I am so thankful for these two kiddos. They are certainly part of my sanctification process.

 Brotherly and sisterly love…they inspire me with their love for each other everyday.

Christ Arose!

Easter is an amazing day to celebrate.  Just to ponder the enormity of the fact that Christ conquered death for US and AROSE!  Hallelujah, Christ arose! 

LOVE THESE two precious, precious gifts from God and knowing the hope that they have in Christ makes everything that much sweeter.

We attempted to make a few cute pictures but little man would not hear of it!

(These two know exactly what to do now when it comes to Easter egg hunting! They were both SO very excited!

This is sweet Milly girls first Easter!

Little Murphy had ONE thing on his mind and that was to get outside! 

(Just so that you know...We no longer live indoors;)

The girls chowed down on the very yummy Easter lunch! Although I think Murphy ate more than both of the big girls combined!

Nino and Joe Joe gave these darling cups to each grandchild for Easter! Their monograms are on the front and birthdays are on the back! O-I just LOVE them!

It was adorable to watch Murphy hunt Easter eggs this year! 

He totally understood what he was supposed to do!

Madelyn found 42 eggs!! Holy Moley!

Her basket filled up so she just started grabbing them! Bless her;)

~Harpeth Hills Easter Egg Hunt~

Every year our church throws THE BEST Easter Egg hunt! It is hosted at the Ezell home. It seriously looks like a wedding for Easter! Everything was just perfect including the weather!

The kidos had SO much fun!

We even got a great Easter bunny picture this year!!! Yippee! I just LOVE it!

Jenny brought Addy Grace and Milly for some Easter fun! Mrs. Vicki (Matt's mom) was also in town so she was able to come see sweet AG hunt!

Murphy really loves "talking" to Milly and pointing at her facial features! So cute!
