Here we are, 18 wks! I'm feeling pretty good. Still tired but its getting a little better. Baby Ivey is MUCH calmer than my other two so far...but as my older sister said.."You could use a calmer kid:-)" This also could be because I have an anterior placenta...It pads the kicks.
I still get waves of nausea every now and then... usually triggered by smell..This past Sunday I was sitting by a girl who really needed a mint while singing...I did my VERY best and fought back the urge to get sick. Luckily my wonderful mom-in-law had a ginger candy that did a fantastic job on my queasiness!
So like I said in a previous post, we are headed to our "big" ultrasound EARLY Monday morning....yeah...We have to be there at 8:30! I very much DREAD this visit...It shook me up when we went to Murphy's baby appointment and we found out there were not one but two possible fetal abnormalities.. Shane and I pray every night that this baby is happy and healthy but know that we have an amazing Father who will take care of us with whatever comes our way:-) Enough with the"Worrying Wanda".
So I believe as long as this child allows the ultrasound tech to take a peek at its parts we will be finding out if the quiet little one is a boy or a girl. We're pretty excited to know and I know Madelyn is too!
The tech will be writing down the sex for us on this card. I just L.O.V.E. this company! It's called sarah + abraham. I ordered from this company with Murphy too. As soon as I saw them in the mail I cried a little to see all my sweet babies on the card! Much like last time, I will taking the envelope to my buddy, Brooke who will then make cupcakes and place into ONE...yes just one cupcake pink or blue icing. That night we are getting together with Shanes family who will this time all be in front of the camera. We will all take our first bite of our cupcake at the SAME time! Someone will get to announce the gender of baby Ivey # 3!
IF you have not voted on gender, please do so! I can not tell who has voted or what person voted what so it won't hurt our feelings! So far I do believe "boy" has a pretty good lead!...We shall see:-)
