Madelyn's Easter Party!

On Tuesday Madelyn had her Easter party in her class! It was SO adorable! I was a party mom and got to help "hide" the eggs. We moms pretty much threw them into an open field and watched them run! All you heard from all direction is "Oooo I see one!" or "Ohhh, I see another one!" These sweet children were just adorable!

Sweet Madelyn had a great time!

Murphy got to tag along;) He was completely in awe of the big kids! He sat with them at their tables and on the rug when the were singing;) Kim and Cara (Madelyn's teachers) thought that he was SO cute;) He even went up to one of the boys and started a jibber-jabber conversation with him....Well it was kida one-sided;) The kid look at me like...."What did he say?!"

Madelyn's favorite part of the day was making bunny ears;)

Madelyn had her Spring program today and it was O-So-Cute!!! It was all about Fruit of the Spirit! The songs were SO adorable! Madelyn goes around singing them all day!

"...no wonder that it' s Mary that we LOVE!"

We got to go see the Broadway Musical "Mary Poppins!" Shane was going to go with us but hurt his foot pretty badly so he had to stay home. Madelyn and I decided to bring some of our favorite gals in the world! Audrey and her mommy, Katy!

The girls sat and watched in awe as the actors and actress gave a

JAW DROPPING performance!!! We were ALL amazed!!!

(five days later)....Madelyn and I are still walking around singing/ humming the songs!

What a fantastic night and one we are not ever going to forget!

At 2 years and 3 months old Madelyn LOVED the Mary Poppins movie!!!

Here she is singing her favorite part! One word....PRECIOUS!!! It just melts my heart!

~What a Bummer!~

So....While I was in Kosy town, Shane went off and decided he would totally mess up his ankle! well....he didn't DECIDE to....He has been working on restoring an old Jon Boat. In doing so he is painting a huge piece of plywood. He was taking it out of the shed and when he stepped down onto the grass his foot turned out and down he fell...plywood and all! Elsie was outside at the time so SHE thought it was playtime!!!......When Shane fell the plywood fell directly on top of him so Elsie jumped on TOP of the plywood!!!!! All the while Shane was screaming in pain! Lucky enough for him, God was looking out for him! Shane's old pair of crutches (from previous ankle troubles) were in our shed. He grabbed them and spent the weekend in the house! By the time the kids and i got back from MS (two days later) Shane's foot was every color of the rainbow! It started mid-calf all the way down to EACH toe! He was in SO MUCH PAIN! Drowning himself with ibuprofen! He was doing all the things your supposed to do like ice and elevate. One week and 2 days later a friend who is a nurse took one good look at it and told Shane...
"Dude...Go see a doctor!" The following Monday he did! X-Ray did not show a brake up a ligament called the TCL looked like it had been torn! This doc.(a general prac.) recommend him to go see a bone and joint doc. One week later...Shane sees Dr. Paul Thomas. He said that he has a 2 degree tear to his TCL. He want Shane to go to Physical Therapy for 4-6wks to strengthen the ankle. If this does not help, he will need surgery....If it DOES work and makes it stronger than great but if he messes it up again then off to the surgery table he goes! He is currently where a huge boot!

In honor of St. Pat.

We cooked Shepherds Pie! The kids both thought it was SO yummy! This was one of Dondi's favorite things for Mema to cook! Madelyn was very happy to know that Dondi loved it;) and of course we HAD to have something GREEN on our plates! That was an easy pick....BROCCOLI it is! These two LOVE it and eat a ton of it in a weeks time!

He looks like such a Big boy now!

A date night with Marcus Mumford....and Shane!

While the kidos are away, the parents are at play!!!!! We had a lovely, fun, MUCH needed, kid-free date night and it was PERFECT! We went to our favorite sushi restaurant in Green Hills;) Afterwards we met up with our friends, Erik Peterson and Beth and Justin Ezell at Alexanders and waited until the concert began! Our friend Erik Peterson works in the music industry so he get some killer tickets! The concert was A-MAZ-ING!!! They really know how to entertain! They even played 5 new songs that are going to be on their new album and I must say it too will be great!

MS Fun!

My parents came up to Nashville on March the 4th to take my kidos back down to MS so that I can get some major rest and FINALLY get over mono! This was Murphy's first time away from me...I also weened him during this time;)

These two had SO much fun!

I drove down on Thursday to spend a few days there then take them back up. While I was there Sophie Rose celebrated her 5th birthday! She had a birthday party at the church gym! We all had SO much fun!
