20 wks/ Halfway There!

We're 50% of the way there!
Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel -the length of a banana (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.)

He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper. (I'll leave THAT diaper for Shane!)
WOW!!! It's hard to believe that we're half way through this pregnancy! So far things have been...well, okay compared to Madelyn's pregnancy. I'm still tired by 3 o'clock in the afternoon. I think I'm also caring differently. I feel the need to "pick" up my tummy b/c he is laying kinda crazy. I'm thinking of using one of those belly bands...Did any of you ladies use them? Baby boy Ivey really is starting to react to sound. He jumps every time! Madelyn knows that "baby brudder" is in mommy's tummy. She'll talk to him through my belly button and ask him to come play with her animals! She also tells him to GROW, GROW, GROW! SO CUTE!
Our "half way" goody from Aunt Jen Jen, Ankle Shoe, and Addy Grawce.
(This is what Madelyn calls them!)
Awww! I LOVE Sophie the Giraffe!
I'm sure our little guy is going to get a lot of teething time on her!
THANK YOU BUNCHES!!!
