Maddie helping me (un)pack my bag.

Group picture of us at the Nashville Airport. These are Hairy Berries. They look odd but on the inside they look like a peeled green grape. They are the size of a Kiwi and taste like a slightly sour strawberry. In Thai they are called Ng (sounds like gnok with a silent k). This was my nickname in Thai because another guy and I ate almost 40 of them at a church lunch.
Sara and me on an elephant at the Elephant show.
Natalie made me disinfect my lips after I sent her this picture.
A girl from the Rom Kraw (pronounced Run Klau) village in North West Thailand.
A picture of the outside of the house we stayed in while in Rom Kraw.
Another Rom Kraw villager.
These people live in Laos. At this point in the border there is only a small creek that separates Laos from Thailand. The residents of both countries come and go as they please.

Kids from the town of Loei. They came to see our group play basketball against the Loei School team. We lost. They cheered.
Part of the reception we got in Loei. There was a parade and everything.
Kayla Smith (on of the Harpeth Hills Youth Group kids) and several from the Loei School.
Patinya (or Papa P as we call him). He is the Thai missionary in Bangkok.
This was at the Elephant Show. That kid almost lost his head several times.

This was taken at a Buddhist Temple we visited on our way to Rom Kraw. This statue was 20 feet tall.
This was part of the Elephant Show. They re-enacted a famous battle that was fought when Thailand was still Siam.
The speed boats that take you around the floating market.
A vendor that floated down the river selling fruit and drinks to people from her boat. After traveling for over 30 hrs, we arrived safely back in Nashville.
Nat, Malinda, and Madelyn went to the airport to greet us!
It feels good to be back home.
