More Beach!

We had the most wonderful time in Santa Rosa! The weather was ABSOLUTELY perfect! The temp was in the high 80's most days with a slight breeze. We NEVER waited to be seated, ZERO traffic, very few people on the beach, & Beautiful weather EVERY day!

Story behind each picture above:
1.)"Aly" or "Aly's (plural) were walking around on the beach looking for food that people leave behind. Madelyn loved watching these little birds and called them "Aly". We saw "her" everyday, many times a day! Madelyn enjoyed feeding her goldfish that Murphy had dropped on the sand and could no longer eat. We noticed that if the piece was too big the "Aly" would take the gold fish down to the water, drop it in to soften it then would eat it...Smart ahe?!
2) Blue water crabs are hidden under the sand under the water. We would go crab hunting at night and see these guys. No were near as many as we saw last year though...wrong season we're guessing...We started calling them "BINGO's" because we did not want to scream "CRAB" and make the kids scared of them...yep..kinda silly...we know...
3)We saw very few jelly fish but the ones we did see were HUGE! We've never seen anything like it! They were like 4 of my hands! SERIOUSLY!
4.)This little black thing is an egg case or capsule that once contained a baby skate (family member of ray and shark). It was, of coarse, empty but made for an interesting find. When I saw it I knew right away that I it was some type of egg casing and that I had seen it before on discovery channel. Very cool huh?! We found out that if you find one, it's supposed to bring good luck!

11.)Matt eating snow crab EVERYDAY he was there!
12.)The BEST key lime pie!
13.)Getting to catch up with our dear friends, Matt and Janel and darling Judith!

We had the most amazing time! We can't thank you enough Nino!

Murphy took a nap twice on the beach with no problem. When he awoke he was ready to go again!

Little Murphy had a blast playing with
all of the beach toys and the big girls!

He particularly loved playing with a boat that Nino gave him!

Madelyn wanted to stay out on the beach ALL day and would have if we let her!
